Her practice includes teaching, leading workshops and writing popular blog posts, translating the language of Astrology and other esoteric teachings to help people make sense of the world. Welcome Deborah to Jeny's TattleTales

What is the most inspirational thing you’ve ever done in your life?

 Show up daily for others.

What actors would you like in the main roles if your book were made into a movie?

Rege-Jean Page as Gabriel and let’s dream super big and ask Meryl Streep to play Susan. Ryan Reynolds would be a spectacular Joshua.

What are the words you live by? A kind of motto?

What was the hardest, most unusual, or interesting part of the story to research? I love all religions and enjoyed exploring each path in a deeper way. Researching, Seville, Spain in the 9th century and Venice in the 15th century was also very enjoyable.

How do you choose the names and physical characteristics of your characters?

The names of the characters ‘came’ to me but each made sense in terms of their name meanings and the roles they would play in the book.

Do you base them on real people?

Reinhardt, the German Buddhist is partially based on my partner.

Who is your biggest cheerleader on earth or angel in heaven?

My partner is my biggest cheerleader on earth. I feel my Mom, who died in my twenties was always my biggest fan, and can feel her cheering me on from the other side!

If you could spend time with a character from your book, whom would it be?

Gabriel

What’s next for you?

Sequel to Gabriel’s Great Perhaps

What would you most like to say to your readers?

Know you are magical and nurture hope.

Gabriel's Great Perhaps Blurb & Excerpts

Angel-navigator, Gabriel, is faced with a critical test. A growing threat, among other growing threats, has mobilized the order of Gabriel to gather a group of people from divergent belief systems and professional backgrounds, who have died to help resolves a looming crisis.

Excerpt 1

Tensions are heaven-high and divisions canyon deep when these seven people from different countries meet in a realm that does not jibe with their afterlife expectations. Each of them wrestles with their death, their neurosis, and each other. The need to collaborate is obvious; the way forward, obscure.

Excerpt 2

Gabriel’s Great Perhaps poses the questions; can we have unity in diversity, and can love trump distorted ego-held beliefs.
