D’ya Ever Wonder…

My parents are heavily into genealogy and of course, hearing the stories, it’s easy to get caught up in the adventure. I think if I were to go back in time I’d probably be happy in the late 1800’s-early 1900’s, only because I like the way they dressed 🙂

It probably has more to do with the fact that it was, in my mind, the last regal era. It seems filled with romance, aristocracy and chivalry and then you really look at it. Women weren’t really allowed to work or vote, were completely dependent on their men, had to wear corsets and didn’t shave! Uhhh, okay nevermind!

I do think it would be fun to go back in time and see what things were like but strangely enough, I don’t have that same intense interest to see the times of the future. Quite frankly, we live in pretty scary times perhaps seeing the future would be terrifying or I’m older, so will I even understand the new industry, technology, and other advancements of the future. If a person of the 1700, 1800, or early 1900’s popped out of a stone-like in “Outlander,” and they saw how far society has advanced, would they be amazed or horrified?
