It’s Fall…Time To Be Productive Again

It's fall again, the kids are back at school, I've made all of my lists of things to accomplish and get started on, ready...set...go...

What!!! I actually have to do it now! Damn!

Okay, well here’s what’s in the works this fall. I’m in the process of finishing up Civility after a long summer hiatus. I’ve just begun the editing process, thanks to Ms. Sophie Logan over at Sharper Editing, and sincerely hope I have the manuscript complete and out before Christmas (my goal of getting it out before election day will NOT be happening).

This book has been so difficult because it’s out of my comfort zone. It’s not light and airy, a poem or a romance. Writing about politically charged topics, and Constitutional rights on social and civil issues, in an unbiased, non-partisan way is fraught with challenges. However, in a way it’s taught me to see other sides of the same issue, so that’s been awesome! The one and the only thing I will say is this election year cannot be over soon enough. I think I’m not alone in saying enough already! That being said, I do love my characters and will be tremendously sad to see them go.

So, really this post is to get me back into the groove and started posting on a weekly basis again. After this book releases, I’ll be switching gears to something a little lighter than a political novel. I’m going to begin a series, that hopefully, people will enjoy, more of which will come later. I mean to begin the journey in January.

In a couple of weeks, the ECWC conference will be here and I couldn’t be more thrilled to go back. For any inspiring authors, conferences such as these are such a great way to learn your craft through other people’s experiences and from truly respected, talented authors. You get inspired, you feel invincible after you’ve been to one like you could write anything and people will be drawn to your charismatic characters and dramatic story arc, LOL!

I think it’s time to get back to it but Happy Fall 2016 Everyone!

Cheers!
